Educational only. Based on the sources listed under each week. It does not replace your doctor. Timings for scans and tests follow UK guidance and can differ. Your date is kept only in this browser.

      How to use this guide

Slide to your week, or use “Find my week” with the first day of your last period or your due date. Each week has its own page you can bookmark. Start from the full list of weeks.

      What the weeks mean

Doctors count weeks from the first day of your last period, so a full-term pregnancy is about 40 weeks. The first trimester runs to the end of week 13, the second from week 14 to week 27 and the third from week 28 until birth.

Not sure of your dates? Try the due date calculator, and read about antenatal check-ups at Chaitanya Hospital in Kadapa. Delivery and emergency care are open 24/7.

      Frequently asked questions

How do I find my week of pregnancy?

Enter the first day of your last period, or your due date, under “Find my week”. The guide counts from the first day of your last period, which is how doctors date a pregnancy.

      Is my date saved?

Only on your own device, in your browser, so the guide opens at your week next time. Nothing is sent anywhere and no login is needed.

Where does the information come from?

Each week lists its sources, mainly NHS pregnancy guides. The text is paraphrased. Scan and test timings follow UK guidance and may differ from your doctor’s schedule.

Can I trust the baby sizes?

Sizes are averages and every baby is different. Your doctor’s scans give the picture for your own baby.
